The lowdown on Motown eats, Tempting restaurants spread
across the metro area, By Molly Abraham-Special to the

DETROIT.
Two of the favorite getaway cities for Detroiters are
Chicago and Toronto. As much a draw as the museums and
shops is the wealth of restaurants clustered in
neighborhoods like Chicago's Lincoln Park and Toronto's
Yorkville, where a stroll along the sidewalk checking
out menus posted in windows can be enough of a
restaurant guide.
Alas, Detroit can't reciprocate. A map is as important
as a guidebook when seeking sustenance here. Our
restaurants are scattered across a three-county area,
......... And in the suburb .........Cedar Garden, where
Mideastern kaftas and kebobs and freshly squeezed
vegetable juices are served under beaded lamps made in a
Lebanese village....Read

also chicken shawarma with garlic sauce; sojok, or spicy
lamb and beef sausage and raw kibbee topped with sauteed
lamb and onions. A first-rate raw juice bar is another
draw. A recent redecoration -including those
eye-catching beaded lamps that are a signature at Cedar

Go at least once a week!!!: My
partner and I have been there 4 times, and we have
nothing to say but, when do you want to go next? We have
been to some of the other ethnic restaurants in the
area, and I have got to say, this is by far the best we
have eaten in quite some time without having to travel
over 10 miles. Thanks and welcome to the area Cedar
Gardens. (5 Stars)

Authentic
Lebanese Cooking.
Cedar Garden is
located on Mack Ave,
is easy to find and
has good parking.
The staff there is
so friendly, they
are always quick to
take and bring your
order. The food here
is really good too,
and at decent
prices. They have a
large menu and all
of the food is fresh
and yummy. It is a
very family friendly
place.. (4

Best Middle Eastern food in the northern metro Detroit area . There food and service is excellent ! Very authentic ! The surrounding is serene and the food comes at a reasonable time. Make sure not to pass up the garlic dip for the bread, there homemade lentil soup, and there freshly juiced juices! I recommend the carrot and apple. Pros: great food, great price, great service, Cons: they don't live next door to my house!. (5 Stars)
